After a successful run in producing award winning short films, commercials and feature films, founder Anthony Ring has created a team of highly skilled film making professionals that work like a well-oiled machine. Anthony has enjoyed an international career as a professional actor working extensively in theatre, television and film in the UK, Australia and Japan since 1988. More recently he has focused on writing and producing both feature length and short films. In 2014, Anthony co-produced and acted in the micro-budget feature film Throwback, written and directed by Travis Bain, which established itself as an *award winning genre movie on the international film festival circuit and has been screened on Channel 7 several times.
Further film credits include short Parrot Ice Tours, Aura, 15 Years and Sanctuary, all of which have won awards in film festivals locally, natiaonal and also internationally.
Looking ahead, Ring of Fire Productions has a vision to increase the profile of Cairns as a viable film making centre locally, nationally and eventually, internationally. As film and video production increases, the opportunities for Anthony’s film making and acting students will be available to utilise their skills in a professional context, giving them invaluable hands-on experience.

After an illustrious career managing a division in one of Australia's most successful supermarkets, Adrian relocated to Far North Queensland where he has turned his sole focus to film making, and digital effects. He has written, directed and edited a number of short films including Unthinkable, Anna and last year's Understory (Best Film) and also Port Shorts (People's Choice) winner Sanctuary. His passion is in delivering outstanding quality video and exceeding clients' expectations.
Adrian has creative solutions for overwhelming technical multi-media problems that still work within budget constraints. He has collaborated on several successful short film and commercial projects with the Ring of Fire Productions team as director and also as Director of Photography.
Travis Bain is a locally based filmmaker and novelist and is known for his resourcefulness with production budgets.
In 2014 and 2015, Travis won awards at the Understory Film Festival in Cairns for his short films Parrot Ice Tours and Little Nippers, including Best Film (Parrot Ice Tours), Runner-Up Best Film (Little Nippers) and People’s Choice (both films).
Travis’s most recent feature film project Landfall has mirrored the success of his cult mirco-budget horror/adventure feature Throwback with Channel 7 screening both movies on several occasions recntly. Both Landfall and Throwback have screened at dozens of international film festivals, winning numerous awards and have been picked up by VOD platforms Amazon and Stan also both have been released on DVD and Blu-ray in Australia, the UK, New Zealand, Germany, the US, Canada, China and South Korea. Travis is currently working on an exciting new feature project: the sci-fi horror thriller Starspawn, inspired by the works of horror author H.P. Lovecraft.
Curtis is a young and enthusiastic film-maker/videographer who has been working extensively alongside established technicians and subsequently has developed his editing and colour grading skills tremendously. He is fast developing a reputation for hard work and delivering the goods.
